Great American Craft Beer Showcase at KIBEX 2022 (March 31-April 2, 2022)
ATO Seoul in a partnership with the Brewers Association (BA) organized the 'Great American Craft Beer Showcase' at the Korea International Beer Expo (KIBEX) on March 31-April 2, 2022. A total of 22 breweries participated in the activity, showcasing the quality, value, and diversity that the U.S. craft beer industry has to offer. COVID 19 prevented U.S. brewery representatives from traveling. Twenty breweries were represented by eight Korean importer partners in the activity. ATO Seoul represented the two remaining breweries at the show, meeting with potential Korean importers and pouring samples to consumer visitors on their behalf. ATO Seoul identified nine Korean importers during the activity who expressed serious interest in importing new U.S. craft beer.

The Korean buyers developed many business contacts with American exhibitors on the show floor. ATO Seoul worked with the Organic Trade Association (OTA) to provide the delegation with complimentary show admission. The trade delegation members developed over one hundred new contacts through the trade mission. The mission members signed over $1.5 million in contracts on the show floor.
ATO Seoul Promotes U.S. Seafood
ATO Seoul partnered with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) and Food Export USA Northeast to organize a U.S. Pavilion at the 19th Busan International Seafood & Fisheries Expo 2021, November 3 – 5. ATO Seoul, ASMI, and Food Export Northeast provided information on U.S. seafood products to Korean buyers, provided supplier directories, and exhibited samples. The event generated a number of serious trade leads from Korean seafood importers interested in a range of U.S. fishery products. South Korea is the United States fourth largest export market for fishery products. U.S. seafood exports to Korea totaled $459 million in 2020. Alaska pollack surimi, frozen Alaska pollack fish, flat fish, live lobster, livers/roes/milt of Alaska pollack, cod, fish fins/heads/tails/maws/other edible fish offal, frozen squid, live hagfish, and livers/roes/milt of fish other than Alaska pollack were the top ten U.S. seafood exports to Korea. The United States is also an important market for Korean seafood. For more information on the Korean seafood market please read the ATO Seoul Seafood Market Update 2021
