  • U.S. Wine On-line Promotion

    To help U.S. wine capitalize on new growth opportunities emerging in South Korea, ATO Seoul plans to organize a ‘U.S. Wine On-line Promotion’ in 2021 together with a group of wine import distributors. The promotion, managed by a professional wine market PR agency contractor, will engage with a large number of opinion-leading wine consumers via various on-line platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Blogs, and Internet homepages) for three separate seasons (one month each) – March (start of spring), May (month of family), and July (start of summer). Each season will have four designated themes and deploy on-line postings under each theme for one week. The themes designated will be creative, unique, and fun to attract quick consumer attention. Each on-line posting will feature a dozen U.S. wines suggested by the import distributors that fits the theme with links to retail shops where consumers can place ‘smart orders’. Consumers will be encouraged to react to the promotion by comments, re-twitting, or leaving tasting notes. Consumers who reacted will be offered a chance to attend a complimentary wine tasting event organized by the import distributors at the end of the promotion.

  • Great American Craft Beer Showcase @ KIBEX 2021

    May 17-19, 2021

    To support the U.S. beer industry to develop new export opportunities in Korea, ATO Seoul will organize a ‘Great American Craft Beer Showcase Seoul’ in the Korea International Beer Industry Expo (KIBEX) 2021. The activity will provide U.S. craft beer suppliers, including new-to-market breweries, with a trade show venue where they will develop face-to-face business contacts with many potential Korean buyers. The activity will also include an ‘American Craft Beer Seminar’ to engage with key opinion-leaders in the Korean beer market and help improve their understanding about U.S. craft beer. The U.S. Craft Brewers Association (BA) will join the activity as a co-organizer and help recruit its member breweries to participate in the exhibition and seminar.

  • Buying Mission to Natural Product Expo West 2021 (Cancelled)

    NPEW is the leading organic trade show in the United States. It provides an excellent venue for Korean organic import distributors and retailers to develop serious business contacts with American suppliers for a wide diversity of products. Buying Mission to Natural Product Expo West (NPEW) that ATO Seoul plans to organize is a targeted tool to help American suppliers generate new export opportunities for high-value processed organic agricultural products to Korea. At the same time, the activity will highlight the United States as the leading organic market in the world, encouraging the Korean organic industry to maintain extra attention to the United States for trendy, new product ideas.

  • On-line Retail Promotion for Processed Organic Products

    ATO Seoul plans to stage a 'Healthy U.S. Organic Foods for You' sales promotion with a leading on-line grocery retailer in South Korea, SSG.COM, for two weeks, June 2 - 15. The timing of the promotion targets to generate maximum consumer attention as June 2nd is “Organic Day” designated and promoted by the Korean government. SSG.COM is a leading on-line grocery retailer in South Korea under the umbrella of Shinsegae Group, a leading retail conglomerate that also operates Shinsegae Department Stores, EMART hypermarkets, TRADERS discount warehouses, and EMART25 convenience stores. SSG.COM is visited by some 6 million visitors a day (1.5 percent of the visitors actually place 90,000 orders). SSG.COM is forecast to generate $3 billion in cash-register sales in 2020, up 40 percent from last year. This activity will support Korean import distributors to develop marketing opportunities with a leading on-line grocery retailer in the market, SSG.COM, while engaging with a large number of target consumers and promote the value, quality, and diversity that the U.S. organic industry has to offer.
