CJ Cheiljedang Launches Consumer Pet Dog Food Business [Korean, OSY]

Summary: CJ Cheiljedang, the leading food processor in Korea, announced on February 13 that its first consumer pet dog food brand, ¡®CJ O¡¯ Fresh¡¯ was launched.  CJ has been selling pet dog food products for pet care centers only since mid-1990¡¯s.  CJ commented that it would offer wider variety of premium quality products under O¡¯Fresh.  It is reported that the size of pet dog food market in Korea is around 150 billion won annual.  Foreign suppliers, led by Nestle, account for about 70 percent of the market.
