Summary: It is reported that sales of ¡®super premium¡¯ fluid milk retailing above 8,000 won per 1 liter package is on a rise in affluent markets in Seoul. While existing products by Korea Yakurt (Natural Plan, 8,500 won per a 930 ml packaging, 20,000 packs of current daily sales) and SPC (Milk Plus, 4,000 won per a 750 ml packaging) are reporting strong sales growth, Samyang Food has joined the market by launching Ecogreen Organic Milk on August 27. Price of the milk is 8,500 won per a 970 ml packaging.

Outdoor Fever Continues ¡¦ Imports of Related Products Surge [Korean, OSY]

Summary: Despite a challenging economic environment, Korean consumers increased interest in outdoor activities resulted in an outstanding import growth of related products. According to Korea Customs Office, imports of outdoor products, including tents and camping gear, totaled $56 million during January through July this year, up 28 percent from the same period of last year.
