Internet wine sales sow division in government, wine industry [Korean, OSY]

Summary: It is reported that offices in the Korean government are in dispute over the proposal of ¡®allowing wine sales on the internet¡¯. While the Fair Trade Committee wants the on-line sales allowed on wine to lower the retail price, National Tax Service is strongly against the proposal in fear of black marketing of wine by disqualified distributors. Consumer groups in general are concerned about wine becoming available on the internet. Wine traders are also showing divided opinions on the issue.
OB Beer Increases Price by 5.89% [Korean, OSY]

Summary: OB Brewery, a leading brewer in Korea announced on August 20 that it had increased its ex-factory beer price by 5.89 percent. Another leading brewer, Hite Co., already increased the ex-factory beer price by 5.93 percent in July.
