One Year after Korea-EU FTA ¡¦ Imports of EU Agricultural Products Surged [Korean, OSY]

Summary: It has been a year since the Korea-European Union Free Trade Agreement (KOEU FTA) was implemented on July 1, 2011.  It is reported that the FTA had significantly increased importation of EU agricultural products into Korea.  Total imports of agricultural products from EU countries from July 2011 through May 2012 amounted to $2.63 billion, up 23.9 percent compared to the same period in 2010/2011.  In particular, EU pork meat and skate saw 49.7 percent and 145.7 percent export growth to Korea during the period.

SPC Opens 90th Paris Baguette Bakery Shop in China [Korean, OSY]

Summary: SPC Group, the leading bakery franchise chain in Korea, reported that its 90th Paris Baguette store in China would open in Beijing city on June 29.  The number of Paris Baguette store in foreign countries would mark 111 with the new store in China.
