Tests Found Radioactive Contamination in Rice Grown in Chiba Province Japan [Korean, OSY]

Summary: Japanese press reported on August 26 that rice grown in Chiba province was tested positive for Cesium, a radioactive material.  The province is 150 kilometers from the nuclear power plant that exploded earlier this year.  Although the amount of cesium found was far below the safety limit, people in the province are worried about additional radioactive contamination in local agricultural products.

Internet Retailers Continued an Over 20 Percent Sales Growth for Four Quarters in a Row [Korean, OSY]

Summary: According to the Korea National Statistics Office (NSO), total sales of the internet retailers in the second half 2011 amounted to 247 trillion won, up 21 percent from the same quarter last year.  NSO commented that the sales of internet retailers have continued an over 20 percent growth for the last four quarters in a row.
