Busan International Seafood and Fisheries Expo 2010 held in Busan, Korea, November 11-13.
American fisheries products were featured at the U.S. Seafood Pavilion during the Busan International Seafood and Fisheries Expo 2010 held in Busan, Korea, November 11-13. Species that generated the most interest from Korean importers who visited the pavilion included Skate, Monk Fish, Cod, Yellow Fin Sole, Pacific Ocean Perch, Scallop, Conch, Snow Crab, and Dungeness Crab. Importers also submitted 31 Trade Leads for U.S. seafood products. Chesapeake Bay Packing, LLC, that joined the pavilion reported that the show would generate $800,000 in sales over the next 12 months for the Newport News, Virginia based supplier.
Kim, Seh Won, Senior Marketing Specialist in the Agricultural Trade Office at the American Embassy in Seoul, Korea retired after 24 years of service.
Mr. Kim joined the Foreign Agricultural Service as an Agricultural Marketing Specialist in September 1987. Over the years he was instrumental in the development and execution of USDA¡¯s agricultural product promotion strategy in Korea. In 2009, Mr. Kim received the Worth Award as outstanding Foreign Service National employee of the year.
