The Number of Cash Billionaires in Korea Grew Totaled 163,000 in 2012, Up 15% from the Previous Year [Korean, OSY]

Summary: KB Economic Institute reported on June 13 that the number of cash billionaires (those people who owns over 10 billion won of cash asset including bank deposits and stocks) in Korea totaled 163,000 in 2012, up 15 percent from 2011.

Traders Bet on Higher Orange Juice Price in the Coming Months [Korean, OSY]

Summary: Traders are reportedly betting on strong orange juice price in the coming months.  Price of frozen orange juice concentrate futures traded in N.Y. Commodity Market on June 7 marked $151.4 dollar per pound, up 26.4 percent from January this year.  It is reported that spreading citrus disease around Florida state is likely to reduce orange harvest this year by 3 percent.  Brazil has also been affected by the disease and is forecast to produce less harvest this year.

 

E Mart Expands ¡®Half Price Roasted Coffee Bean¡¯ Business [Korean, OSY]
