The Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) focuses on expanding U.S. exports of agricultural products through a range of marketing activities. These include matching U.S. companies with Korean importers and retailers, carrying out market promotion activities such as organizing the U.S. pavilion in international food shows, providing U.S. and Korean companies with market information and opportunities, and assisting companies with individual trade problems such as getting U.S. shipments cleared through customs. The ATO also organizes reverse trade missions to the U.S. The ATO works closely with trade associations participating in the Foreign Market Development (FMD) Program and the Market Access Program (MAP).

Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) |
APHIS works to safeguard American agriculture by keeping destructive foreign pests and diseases out of the United States. Internationally, APHIS works to ensure the health and well-being of animals and plants throughout the United States by monitoring plant and animal health issues overseas and working with other countries to reduce health risks associated with trade in agricultural products. The APHIS Office maintains technical working relationships with Korean counterparts and plays a key role in resolving sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) related trade issues. In Korea, APHIS also provide support to pre-clearance inspection programs for certain Korean produce exported to the United States.
